About Pack 94
Cub Scouting Means “DOING!”

The Den
A Cub Scout Pack is divided into small groups of about 6–8 children called dens, who meet at least twice a month under the direction of adult Den Leaders. Dens are organized by grade level, giving scouts the chance to learn and grow with peers their own age.
Den meeting activities are planned around monthly themes and include games, handicrafts, hikes, outdoor fun, and practicing for Pack meetings. The den structure allows children to build close friendships and engage in hands-on activities.
Den Structure by Grade:
- Lion Cubs — Kindergarten
- Tiger Dens — 1st grade
- Wolf Dens — 2nd grade
- Bear Dens — 3rd grade
- Webelos Dens — 4th/5th grades
The Pack
Pack 94 is made up of several dens and includes not just the scouts, but also their families and leaders. The Pack meets monthly (4th Thursday) with Cub Scouts, leaders, parents, and family members attending. Pack meetings are the highlight of each month — a time to recognize scouts, celebrate achievements, and build community.
Beyond regular meetings, the Pack sponsors special projects including community service, outdoor activities, fundraisers, and fun competitions like the Pinewood Derby and Rain Gutter Regatta.
The Pack Committee is a group of adult volunteers who plan the program and manage operations. Committee meetings are monthly and open to any interested parent.

Cub Scout Ranks
Every Cub Scout begins with the Bobcat badge, then advances through ranks based on their grade level.

Lion Cubs
Kindergarten · 5-6 years old
The Lion Cub program introduces kindergartners to the fun and adventure of Cub Scouting. Lions participate with a parent or guardian partner, exploring the world together through hands-on activities and outdoor fun.

Tiger
1st Grade · 6-7 years old
Tigers and their adult partners work together as a team. They attend meetings, go on adventures like field trips, and complete requirements together. This partnership is unique among Cub Scout ranks.

Wolf
2nd Grade · 7-8 years old
Wolves build on their Bobcat foundation, learning new skills through adventures that spark curiosity and confidence. They explore the outdoors, develop teamwork, and begin taking on more independence.

Bear
3rd Grade · 8-9 years old
Bears tackle bigger challenges and more complex adventures. They develop stronger outdoor skills, engage in community service, and prepare for the transition to Webelos.

Webelos
4th & 5th Grade · 9-11 years old
Webelos ("We'll Be Loyal Scouts") bridge the gap between Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA. They earn activity badges, go on campouts, and prepare for the transition to a Scout troop. Fifth graders work toward the prestigious Arrow of Light award.
